5" Weekend Short in Orange Diamond Kalamkari

I have a few pairs of Todd Snyder shorts and really enjoy them. They have a short inseam, fit nicely, are comfortable, and can be worn ultra casual to relatively snazzy (I say 'relatively' considering that they are A) shorts and B) have an elastic waistband...).

I loved the fabric displayed in the picture on this pair and decided to get them. Upon arrival this pair seemed to fit differently than the standard fabric and seersucker fabric Todd Snyder shorts I already own. There is extra fabric in the crotch area and it gives kind of a harem pant/tent pant look. Not ideal. I wrote this off and figured after washing it would fix the issue. To some extent, the fit did improve after washing.

The real issue was the appearance of the fabric after washing. I did as suggested - cold wash, like fabrics, low dry. Unfortunately, after washing them all the royal blue in the fabric had washed away/severely faded (picture attached). The impact has been to ruin the beauty of the fabric. At this stage they kind of look like boxer shorts one might find at a discount store.

I cannot recommend these and would definitely return if I hadn't washed them.

Wore these shorts twice. A number of compliments recieved. Light feel. comfortable. Stylish in a manner that stands out. Im 5'8 195 and ordered a large. Perfect fit for my build. Washed after the first wear and air dried. never put my delicate clothes in dryer. No issues with print leaking. Might be better to hand wash and air dry. material makes that easy and investment makes it worth it. Strongly recommend.

Saw these in store while looking for pants and fell in love with the pattern! Much more comfortable than I would’ve thought they would be. I went with XS (29/30in waist) and they fit great!
