Todd Snyder is a New York-based menswear brand built on a simple belief: take the essential pieces of a man’s wardrobe and make them better. More luxurious materials, sharper proportions, more thoughtful construction.

Our Story

Todd Snyder grew up in Ames, Iowa, where he first learned to cut and sew at a local tailor shop. That early experience carried him to Ralph Lauren, The Gap, and J.Crew, where he spent two decades building his unique perspective on design. He launched his namesake label in 2011 at forty, on his own terms — his grandmother would have approved: "Snyder," she once told him, "means tailor in Dutch."



Since then, he's been nominated seven times for CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year, and named a CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalist. In 2024, WWD named him Menswear Designer of the Year, in recognition of a body of work built one carefully considered detail at a time.

Our Craft

The best clothing starts with the best materials, so that's where we start, too. We work with some of the world's finest mills — Italian artisans with over 300 years of experience weaving flannel, Portuguese mills renowned for their exceptional cotton fabrics, Japanese denim dyed with natural indigo, the finest, softest cashmere, merino, and more. 

Every choice is made with intention, born out of an obsessive attention to detail: this fabric over that one, a silhouette adjusted half an inch to flatter how men actually stand and move and work. It's traditional tailoring without the stiffness — built to work hard, easy to wear, ready to last a lifetime.

Todd's point of view on design isn’t about reinventing the wheel; it’s about taking classics and refining them. His collections sit at the crossroads of classic and modern, embodying everything from British wit and Italian ease to Japanese precision and American ruggedness.

The result is timeless, but not predictable. Clothing that references the past, but is crafted with the modern gentleman in mind. It's also personal — season after season, Todd designs for himself. And in doing so, he gives other men the permission to seek out their personal style just as unapologetically. That consistent passion drives his styles, season after season: because the more you look, the more there is to see.

The Todd Snyder New York flagship store and his second location, Todd Snyder at the Liquor Store, have been hailed as innovative retail and lifestyle hubs by The New York Times, New York Magazine, GQ, and others, solidifying the brand’s status as a one-stop shop for fashion insiders and sharp dressers worldwide. 

We now operate 23 stores across the country, with more opening this year — but our stores have never been just a place to shop. Each one is custom-designed from the ground up to bring you into the full world of Todd Snyder: in-house tailors, made-to-measure fittings, staff ready to offer styling advice, even a barbershop or a coffee bar, depending on the location.
