Former Royal Air Force navigator Jan Waskiewicz and machinist Stanley Zaleski first met as young Polish immigrants in Boston. In 1973, they decided to launch a business crafting eyewear — shortly after, they joined forces with the US military to make aviators for fighter pilots. Today, the company is still family-owned and -operated, and all the glasses are made in the USA.
