"This collection is meant to evoke an endless summer where the breeze is warm, the cerveza is cold and the soundtrack is Antônio Carlos Jobim. The tunics with mandarin collars, leisure jackets, mesh tops and self-belted pleated trousers nod to old-school resort clothing, while the proportions are inspired by the volume and unconstructed silhouettes of the 1980s. I then challenged myself to evolve that easiness into modern, sophisticated styles. This collection is also a Tale of Two Shorts: There’s a knee-length, flat front one that’s dressy and then a pleated one that’s designed to hit mid-quad. Almost every piece would look great with one of our new intrecciato leather sandals, which is funny because I had a Barcelona chair in intrecciato leather on my mood board.”
