Relaxed Fit Chino in Brown Donegal

Inspired by our Favorite Chino, this sartorial update on the classic chino is a great way to rock a timeless style deep into winter. It has a relaxed fit with a full, stovepipe leg, and is versatile enough to be worn professionally or casually. The fabric is a sartorial, rugged wool Donegal, which refers to cloth where small pieces of yarn in different colors are woven in at random to create a soft, heathered effect. These are unlined, but the fabric is soft enough that you don’t need to worry about overly itchy wool against your legs. By the way: there are matching jackets for both colors (a Bomber and Cardigan, to be precise) if you want to make it a set. Matching Brown Donegal Quilted Cardigan Available

Not Sure If It Gets Better Than This

Let me just say this: Every positive review about these pants -from its drape, thickness, softness, comfortability, and weight- cannot be overstated. I own both pair in brown and charcoal, and they do not disappoint. I have two pair of TS donegal wool trousers from fall/winter 2022-23 that are also similar in great quality, but I like the thickness, softness, and versatility of these a bit more. They are both simplistic and sophisticated depending on how and what they are paired with. As an educator (or “edutainer”) they work extremely well with Air Force 1’s as they do with (casual) shoes and/or boots. If I were forced to nitpick at something about these pants it’s that the brown pair doesn’t have the same level of ideal charm and/or character in terms of the speckles or flecks as the charcoal. Last year’s brown trouser option and this season’s charcoal both have a hint of orange or red to go with the white speckles and/or flecks. However, this is minor because this season’s brown does (still) have white flecks and/or speckles to go with the different shades of tans and browns in the pants. With or without this very minute detail they are still a great addition to the wardrobe. Hope to see these again next fall/winter in two to three different colors, AND perhaps a really, REALLY nice glen plaid and houndstooth.

So Soft!

(Charcoal) These fit just like the relaxed selvedge chinos and although unlined, are shockingly soft and luxurious! Really fabulous with a perfect drape - this material ideal for this cut!

Beautiful Donegal pants!

I’ve been looking for a while for donegal pants that have a more conservative fit - not like those matchstick type fits that you see around. Fit is very comfortable as well! Must haves in ny opinion!
