Italian Heavyweight Leather Balmacaan in Black

A literal heavy hitter, this exceptional piece of outerwear turns heads wherever it goes. Made in Italy from a luxurious, waxy calfskin (think Bowie in Berlin), it’s a hefty coat that’s designed to last a lifetime of wear — and to look all the better for it. The silhouette is inspired by a balmacaan (pronounced bal-MA-can), a Scottish overcoat named for the area near Inverness where it’s thought to have originated in the 19th century. Two design elements we pulled from the traditional style: raglan sleeves and a long, relaxed fit that’s made for easy layering.
