Todd wanted a button-down that felt broken in from the first wear…so he designed this one, crafted from 100% cotton, loaded with throwback design details and constructed for the perfect, relaxed fit. The lightweight, striped fabric comes to us from Somelos in Portugal, and gets a proprietary wash that gives it a soft, worn-in feel from the get-go. It’s a true closet staple through and through, with polished details like a button-down collar, locker loop, single chest pocket, and side-seam gussets. In short, it’s called “the Favorite” for a reason.

Somelos is a family-owned operation renowned for its tailoring. Founded in Portugal in 1958, they’re committed to crafting fine yarns and cotton fabrics.

Poor Quality, not expected from TS

Quite surprised how poor the quality is of this shirt. Have purchased numerous button ups from TS but this particular garment wrinkles terribly after a delicate wash and the strings coming loose at the button holes is very disappointing. Have come to expect mor from this brand. Unfortunately this one I am not happy with and wouldn't reccomend.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with this shirt but have not heard of excessive wrinkling or button threads becoming undone. Kindly note that this garment should be dried on low as well in order to protect the integrity of the threads used on the buttons and an iron press can help remove the wrinkles after washing this 100% cotton shirt.

Short Sleeve Summerweight Favorite Shirt in White

Extremely see-through

You can see every extra layer of fabric, and when pressed against your chest nipples are clearly visible. Don’t see how you can wear this untucked either as you can see the shorts straight through the fabric. Feels like I’m wearing 1-ply toilet paper with a strip of 2-ply down the placket. The pictures don’t show the see through nature of this shirt at all so fair warning if you want the white, summer-weight version. Unfortunately I bought on sale and can’t return.

Hi Kevin,

Our summer weight shirts are made to be worn in hot weather and it's light for breathability and its a bit see through. We recommend wearing this open with a tank or t-shirt underneath or buttoned up.
