The embodiment of Todd’s rugged-meets-refined aesthetic, this Military Shirt Jacket is based on a vintage field jacket. We tapped one of England’s great mills to create the cotton fabric, which has a waxy, water-resistant finish, but — and this is the important bit — not a very waxy feel. The herringbone weave is printed in a British-style camo that’s both practical and chic. Other design details include two large, bellowed patch-and-flap chest pockets for storing all your odds and ends, and an orange locker loop at the interior of the neck to hang it all up at the end of the day.
This piece is part of a collaboration between Todd Snyder and Private White V.C., one of England’s most venerable outfitters and beloved by royalty, rock stars, athletes and actors alike. They handcraft every garment in Manchester’s last remaining clothing factory, a red-bricked building on the banks of the River Irwell, where they’ve been based since 1853.
