It’s made from Bedford Cord, which resembles a less ridge-y corduroy and feels a bit like twill canvas; more rugged than chino and more breathable than classic corduroy, it’s an excellent transitional fabric. It features shank-style buttons similar to those you’d find on a jean jacket and stitch-through detailing at the pockets. The ultimate third piece, it’s a great style to wear under a coat when it’s frigid, layer over a sweater when it’s cool, or throw on as a chic alternative to a sport coat when it’s mild. It looks just as good with a pair of trousers as it does with denim — and there are even matching pants, if you’re inclined to make it a set.
