Asics EX89 in White/Midnight

This is a snappy looking sneaker, well made. I like them. Read on if you would like some sizing advice. I didn't see many/any reviews with "good" sizing advice so I will try to provide you with a clear window, so to speak or further muddy the waters...

I normally were an 8.5 in running a running shoe and I typically have found that these "retro" style sneakers can fit "slightly" large. It's a final sale item at ~$68 bucks, so I rolled the dice. Worst case scenario I give them to a buddy if they're too big. They arrived, they looked sweet, they fit HUGE. My foot was swimming in the 8.5. I gave them to a buddy :-) - I ordered up a 7.5. They arrived, they looked sweet. They fit, I dare say, perfect, a little snug but not too small. I was curious, so I sat them next to a Reebok classic size 8.5(JCrew) and a Nike Air Force size 8(sustainable). The length of all three shoes were exactly the same. - It's excess padding in the heel and tongue of the Asics shoe that make for a weird fit experience. Based on the information I have just bored all of you with I would go a half size down on the Asics if you want to play it safe. The shoe is really comfortable, not an all day walker but great for a clean work/office sneaker and hanging out. $68 + 30% off - Go get 'em!
