        This modern take on the sweater-jacket gets a luxe upgrade in merino wool. Merino is a great transitional wool — lightweight, smooth, refined and perfect for layering. It also means this sweater is light enough to toss over a tee or Oxford cloth shirt now, and then layer under a coat or suit jacket when the weather turns chilly.

        Based in Derbyshire, England for over 200 years, John Smedley’s tees, polos and sweaters are synonymous with quality. Their premium merino wool comes from New Zealand, and their fine Sea Island cotton has been a mainstay of the company since 1922.

        The sweaters in La Buena Vida are all inspired by mid-century styles, layering in different old-school details: an extra tab closure at the hem, tapered waists, extended collars, vintage-inspired patterns, and more.
