This trail cap is made from a water-repellent Italian nylon ripstop, crafted by the experts at Olmetex, a world-renowned mill established in 1954 in Italy’s Como region. Ripstop is a military innovation, often used in uniforms and parachutes — it’s woven using a special technique that creates a fine crosshatch pattern, making it both lightweight and incredibly resistant to tearing. A shock cord adjuster at the back ensures the perfect fit.

I’m a big guy, with a sizable head, and this is a really snug fit. I like it, and it’s not uncomfortable, but if you wear a 7 1/4 fitted or larger, this probably isn’t going to work for you.

I like the material and look of the hat. However, I purchased this on sale and cannot return. It is not sized for individuals with heads larger than 7 1/2. I wear a 7 5/8 fitted and it does not fit my head and becomes uncomfortable. Sad about it.
Have a different opinion than the "fits small" review...I'm a 7 1/8 fitted had guy, shaved head, fits large imo. Better for cooler weather than hot.
