This luxurious (and surprisingly versatile) vintage-inspired style is made from a fine, Italian merino wool that comes to us from the famous Tollegno mill. Merino is a great transitional choice — lightweight, soft and perfect for layering. The body of the sweater is a Jersey stitch, and the buttons are genuine shell. One of our favorite design details: the two-color tipping at the collar, chest pocket and placket. Wear it on its own for an easy outfit upgrade, or layer under a shirt jacket or coat to give your look a little extra pop.
Tollegno 1900 (founded in its eponymous year) is committed to sustainability and innovation. They integrated the entire production chain — from raw materials to spinning to weaving — in pursuit of continuing Italy’s Biellese wool textile tradition.
I have several of these polos from the last few years. It’s a great shirt, but the wool is thinner than it used to be. Hoping that doesn’t cause durability issues
Lightweight merino wool polo with a perfect slim fit, very versatile. This iteration of the polo in merino is my favorite, better than the cotton-silk one. Fabric will pill a little with each wear but a shaver will remove it. Hand wash using wool-specific detergent and lay flat to dry.
I have compared with older releases and the fabric weight is still the same.
