The perfect coat combines elements of military dress with classical tailoring, so that the wearer stays warm and dry while looking stylish. Case in point: this Peacoat. The silhouette is based on the classic navy reefer jacket from a century ago — the large lapels could be popped up and closed with a throat latch to seal a mariner in from the elements. Todd has kept these old-school elements and then given everything a luxe upgrade in a chic Italian wool blend from Bellandi, in Italy. Design details include two flap pockets at the wearer’s waist and then two slanted, hand-warmer pockets closer to the chest, as well as tabs at the sleeves that allow the wearer to adjust the aperture of the cuffs.

I’ve been looking for a new peacoat to upgrade from one I got many years ago. At first I tried the navy wool alpaca one but that ran way too large for me. I ordered this in my usual size and much better fit. It’s very soft and warm.
