Great pair of pants that can be part of a nice line up/rotation going from (mid?) fall heading into mid winter. The fabric is a decent weight; fairly light considering the combination of wool and cotton -which isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The drape is very much similar to the donegal wool officer chino(?) that was also released as part of the Fall 2023 collection.
My issues with these pants are minor, BUT that doesn’t necessarily mean they should be disregarded as non-factors as part of complete customer satisfaction. This is especially true IF Todd Snyder & Co should continue with these cuts and styles moving towards the Fall/Winter 2024-25 collection(s) and beyond. The Donegal Wool Officer Chinos, my new go to favorite for fall and winter, offered this season are thick, substantial in weight, AND extremely soft. The Herringbone Officer Trouser is great in color and design with a feel that’s slightly more course. This can be a bit problematic if/when the irritation and itch becomes too much to tolerate for the sake of great taste, look, and style. I’m not sure if this irritation and itch is because of the use of cotton, or if the cotton used was supposed to eliminate or lessen this problem.
The other issue with these pants are similar to another issue I’ve had with TS pants for a little while now. While TS offers great styles, cuts, fabrics, patterns, and colors not everyone is an average height of 5’11” or 6’1”. It would be nice if TS offered size 35/30 and/or 36/30…
