Our traditional chore coat gets an update in a sartorial Italian fabric; think of this as “tailored workwear.” The basic silhouette — clean lines and three patch pockets — remains the same, but we’ve updated this utilitarian classic with a butterfly lining, slimmer fit and a slight lapel roll at the collar, all elements more typically found in a sport coat or blazer. The Italian velvet — which comes to us from Pontoglio, a 63-person mill on the banks of the Oglio river that’s been synonymous with fine Italian velvet and corduroy since its founding in 1883 — is soft, plush and luxurious.

Runway Collection:
La Buena Vida | Vintage Style

Todd’s Spring/Summer 26 runway collection balances structured tailoring and soft sensuality, inspired by the faded glamour of Havana in the 50s and the swagger of a guy stepping off a plane in Miami in the 80s.

The sweaters in La Buena Vida are all inspired by mid-century styles, layering in different old-school details: an extra tab closure at the hem, tapered waists, extended collars, vintage-inspired patterns, and more.

    Outstanding jacket

Informal luxury with this velvet chore coat. The color is so deep and rich...I will be wearing this quite often. Runs large for a "tailored" fit so be mindful when ordering.

    Great Jacket

This copper counter jacket is really elegant and useful. It has plenty of pockets to carry things in. Just be aware that the fit is a little relaxed. If you prefer I tailored fit you might want to go a size down. I'm 5'9" 180 and purchased a size medium. It's great to layer with.

    Nice Material, boxy fit

First things first, I love this velvet.

The fit left me wanting though, ymmv. I know boxy/oversized drop shoulder fits are trendy right now, but I wasn’t anticipating this to fall in that category. I found it awkward to lift my arms in this due to the top of the shoulders being both over shot and prone to unpleasant bunching. I also expected a more “fitted” tailoring given the description. I fear a size down would be too small and even more restrictive in the shoulders.

Again, your experience may vary. It might be that I’m between sizes or not onboard with some current trends. If you are layering and don’t need to raise your arms, this might be fine.
