Inspired by mid-century American workwear, Todd has reimagined the iconic denim jacket for the modern sensibility. Though the fabric is dyed an easy-to-wear light brown, it’s an all-cotton denim with all the same durability. Details include shank buttons at the cuffs, placket and the tabs at the waist, which you can adjust for the perfect fit. It has a modern, boxy, slightly oversized silhouette, with a slightly dropped shoulder and clean detailing throughout. Perfect over a tee when it’s warm out and a sweater when it’s not, it’s an excellent way to play with proportions.

The shirts in La Buena Vida are crafted from carefully sourced fabrics, woven using heritage techniques at some of the world’s finest mills (like delicate voile, made from cotton, linen, and ramie and woven in Italy and India) and feature embroidered details.

Great fit and style
This was a bit of a circuitous experience. I loved the jacket but originally ordered an XL - I should have read the sizing chart more closely, as it proved to be tent-like. Luckily there is a TS store close by, at Chestnut Hill, and I was able to return the item for a smaller size. The staff at this location couldn't have been nicer and accommodating -- I look forward to returning (and picking up more items).
