Italian Peak Lapel Hopsack Sport Coat in Navy

Love the look, but required over $100 in alternations as the sleeves were to long and the body to full even though I ordered my size of 46R. Most sites that sell sports coats and/or suits offer sizing in regular, slim or extra slim. Given the NYC vibe thought it would have a slim (most people) but instead was oversized to accommodate larger person. Makes no sense to me.

Was hesitant to buy this given the reviews but glad I pulled the trigger. 5'8" 175ish, perpetually fighting the dad bod but the 40S fits perfect for a warm weather hop sack--not too tight in the arms, buttons comfortably with a casual shirt underneath, and unlined for breathing. I usually go for a 40S in the Sutton and Madison fits as well but they're definitely a closer fit and often too tight in the shoulder/armpit. If you're on the fence and looking for a casual light weight wool this is wonderful for the spring and summer months.

Anyone who love clothes, love how they speak to you when you look in the mirror. When I put this sweet piece on, I knew, I was ready to get real compliments. This jacket lays on the body like a tailor cut it for you. Honestly, the one thing I wished was different was the length of the sleeves was a bit too long. This hopsack will get that someone to hop in the sack. It’s just that sexy!

Don’t know where in Italy this was sourced; It’s quite a great quality for what I paid. I’m very satisfied with the hopsack material and how diverse it will be for my collection.
