Guanabana’s spin on the classic tote bag. It’s woven with a slightly loose stitch that makes it lightweight and easy to sling over your shoulder. Our take on when to use it: its round bottom and bucket bag-style shape make it perfect for university or work, but you can also throw in a towel for a trip to the beach or pack up your essentials for a weekend away. This Tote is hand-crocheted by Wayuu artisans in Colombia in a time-intensive process that requires skillful craftsmanship (in other words, this is an extremely limited piece).
Guanabana’s boho-chic designs are the realization of founder Almudena Espinosa’s dream to make a lasting positive impact on artisan communities. Founded in 2005 and based in Madrid, the brand’s entirely handmade styles showcase both her Spanish heritage and the techniques of Latin America. Fun fact: the name is an ode to Almudena’s favorite fruit, also known as soursop.
