Our traditional shirt jacket gets an update in a luxe Italian fabric; think of this as “tailored workwear.” The basic silhouette — clean lines and two patch pockets at the chest — remains the same, but we’ve updated this utilitarian piece with a slightly slimmer, more modern fit. And about that fabric: it’s 100% linen, woven by the experts at Italy’s renowned Sondrio mill and lightweight enough to position this more on the shirt end of the “shirt jacket” spectrum. Throw it on open over a tee or tank as a light layer, or wear it all on its own.

Tucked away in the heart of the Alps, the family-run Tessuti di Sondrio mill was founded in 1895 and is one of Italy’s most revered cotton fabric weavers — their philosophy marries innovation with a respect for natural materials.

The jacket is perfect for so many occasions. The fit for me is great. I'm 5'10", 160lbs, athletic build, and medium was just right for me.

Hesitant buy convert

I wasn't sure about this linen shirt, just under $200 for a relatively thin overshirt seemed quite a lot to me even on sale....but I jumped in anyway.

I'm glad I did! The color is richer than looks in the photo's and the fit is sliming and not as boxy as some similar overshirts I've seen. A great fit for my 6ft, 1 inch 200 Pounds and looks great with a simple t-shirt or thin shirt underneath. Good for spring and autumn.

Loved It

Color is deep and rich, better than the pic. Fit is spot on, slim cut with room for a light layer. Tailoring is as you would expect. Very attractive garment, dress it up or down.
