Inis Meáin’s Aran Turtleneck is inspired by the highly decorated styles once prized as Sunday Best formal wear on the island, and features a gray flecked yarn. The sleeves are knitted in purl stitch, creating a more refined and streamlined silhouette, which makes for easier movement when worn under a rain jacket or topcoat.

Inis Meáin is one of the three Aran Islands that lie off the western shore of Ireland. It’s a place of rugged beauty, where fishermen’s garments have been made by their families for centuries. Inspired by this local spirit, Tarlach de Blácam and Áine Ní Chonghaile founded the Inis Meáin Knitting Company in 1976.
