A modern take on the classic cable knit wool sweater. This chic crewneck is knit from a blend of breathable merino, lightweight nylon and soft alpaca — in other words, it’s cozy, but not scratchy or heavy. It’s also a Donegal, a technique named for the county in Ireland where it originated, wherein small pieces of yarn in different colors are woven in at random to create a heathered effect. The traditional cable stitch is simplified here into a scaled-up herringbone for a sculptural update on this cold-weather icon.

This is a beautiful sweater, even more attractive in person than online. It's a regular fit, though it's not as long as many sweaters today. I'm 5'8" and it fits perfectly. Those of you over 6' might want to size up.

Will be wearing this nonstop through the season. Typically wear a L in TS. The L fit fine but I preferred the XL for a roomier fit/so I can roll the sleeves
