Following close behind tweed, cord and flannel in the cold-weather classics lineup: the cable knit sweater. Todd’s given that fairly thick stitch — introduced in Ireland in the early 20th century by fishermen — a modern update. The wool-blend yarn has a multicolored heathered look and a dry, warm, lofty handfeel that’s surprisingly lightweight. It’s knit with a classic cable at the front, and an Afghan-stitch at the arms and back. A chunky ribbed mockneck collar completes the look.

Very attractive. Fits great. At your concierge’s suggestion, went with a L, not an XL (Not predictable for me, totally depends on the fit.
