Our Madison Suit Jacket represents the epitome of soft tailoring, both easy-wearing and sharp…it’s what the Italian courtier, diplomat, and author Baldassare Castiglione must have had in mind when he coined the term sprezzatura to describe effortless nonchalance. Crafted from an Italian wool-cotton blend with a little bit of stretch for comfort, the deep, forest-green fabric — which comes to us from the famed Sondrio Mill — is designed for year-round wear. It has a relaxed fit, with a natural shoulder and a slightly nipped-in waist. Details include a double vent in the back and a lightweight butterfly lining. There’s also a chest pocket known as a barchetta (Italian for “little boat”) because the sleek curvature of the pocket resembles a small skiff. Oh, and did we mention there are matching trousers available, too?

Tucked away in the heart of the Alps, the family-run Tessuti di Sondrio mill was founded in 1895 and is one of Italy’s most revered cotton fabric weavers — their philosophy marries innovation with a respect for natural materials.

My new favorite suit

I love that it's cool a breatheable since it dosn't have lining like other suits. It perfectly balances casual and cool while maintaining a classic look.
