The silhouette is based on the classic navy reefer jacket from a century ago — the large lapels could be popped up and closed with a throat latch to seal a mariner in from the elements. Todd has kept these old-school elements and then given everything a luxe upgrade in a chic, oversized plaid made from a recycled wool blend; think sartorial woodsman. Design details include two flap pockets at the wearer’s waist and then two slanted, hand-warmer pockets closer to the chest, as well as tabs at the sleeves that allow the wearer to adjust the aperture of the cuffs.

The fit is great for an overcoat giving you enough room to layer. I'm 220 - 225lbs , 44-45" chest, 6-1 with a muscular build, the large fits me well...
Debated buying this coat for a month online before seeing it in person at the store. It looks great online, but blew me away in person, and I had to have it. Literally my new favorite piece of outerwear.
