Manufactured in a legendary Los Angeles factory from premium Jersey cotton, this super-soft classic tee is a year-round staple. It’s the ultimate basic, always down to smarten up a pair of jeans or get to work under a jacket. Garment-dyed and heathered for a unique color and texture that washes down nicely over time. The eye-catching print is illustrated by Henry Bradbury for an 1860 book titledThe Nature-printed British Sea-weeds, and is bound to make an excellent conversation starter at the pool, beach, or bar this summer.
This piece is part of a limited-edition capsule collection created by Todd Snyder and artist John Derian. The seaside-themed summer styles are all based on rare 18th- and 19th-century prints from Derian’s archive. “When John and I got together to design our second collection, [he] was talking about his store in Provincetown, MA,” says Snyder. “This Derian-at-the beach direction really appealed to me, and so we started looking at antique prints of harbor scenes and marine life.”
