The name refers to the way the leather of the shoe meets at the toebox, creating a ridged effect that resembles an apron resting on top of the vamp — a classic British design element. These boots feature a suede upper and sturdy, Goodyear-welted crepe sole.
Sanders & Sanders was established in 1873 by brothers William and Thomas Sanders of Rushden, Northamptonshire. What began as a five-person workshop grew over the years to become one of England’s most renowned shoe factories. Today, the business is in the hands of the fifth generation of Sanders’, who are still producing their exceptionally high-quality boots out of the same Spencer Road factory they’ve been in since 1924.

My new favorite boots. Look better in person. The suede and color are fantastic. The crepe sole is also very comfortable. Tried them on in store and was sold.
