As laid back as it is sharp, this is what the Italian courtier, diplomat, and author Baldassare Castiglione must have had in mind when he coined the termsprezzatura to describeeffortless nonchalance. Equal parts wool and cotton, the navy herringbone fabric is soft and comfortable, with a little bit of stretch for easy movement. The Madison has a natural shoulder, relaxed fit and lightweight butterfly lining. Additional design details include pick-stitching at the lapel and a chest pocket known as abarchetta (the Italian word for “little boat”), because the sleek curvature of the pocket resembles a small skiff. Paired with a tee and sneakers, it’s an office-ready look that feels WFH-friendly.
I like the quality of the fabric and how it drape. I had to get it tailored to shorten the sleeve which was easy to do! :)
