Todd gives the classic crewneck sweater a refined upgrade in extrafine merino from Italy. The yarn is “mouliné,” which normally involves twisting multiple colors together before weaving to create a chic, marbled effect; here, three different colors go into the machine at the same time without getting twisted. The result: these handsome, chunky stripes in earthy shades of clay, sky blue and cream. The body and chunky trims are parallel knit, and the sweater has a relaxed, easy-to-wear fit that works with everything from denim to dress trousers.

The sweaters in La Buena Vida are all inspired by mid-century styles, layering in different old-school details: an extra tab closure at the hem, tapered waists, extended collars, vintage-inspired patterns, and more.

The shirts in La Buena Vida are crafted from carefully sourced fabrics, woven using heritage techniques at some of the world’s finest mills (like delicate voile, made from cotton, linen, and ramie and woven in Italy and India) and feature embroidered details.
