Todd wanted a button-down that felt broken in from the first wear…so he designed this one, crafted from 100% cotton, loaded with throwback design details and constructed for the perfect, relaxed fit. The lightweight, striped fabric comes to us from Somelos in Portugal, and gets a proprietary wash that gives it a soft, worn-in feel from the get-go. It’s a true closet staple through and through, with polished details like a button-down collar, locker loop, single chest pocket, and side-seam gussets. In short, it’s called “the Favorite” for a reason.

Somelos is a family-owned operation renowned for its tailoring. Founded in Portugal in 1958, they’re committed to crafting fine yarns and cotton fabrics.

Perfect fit, very light weight

The Classic Fit Summerweight Favorite Shirt in Blue Stripe is the lightest weight shirt I have every worn, but it maintains its shape. I also like that I can leave the top two buttons unbuttoned without the collar flopping over. Even without rolling up the sleeves, the shirt is very comfortable in hot weather. The blue is a darker blue, almost a charcoal-navy color so can be worn with a navy or black blazer. It has become my favorite shirt.

See-through

It was just too thin. I might wear it once or twice but it is literally transparent. I love Todd Snyder but if a material is this thin there must be a better way to communicate it than “summerweight”.
