Italian Wool Balmacaan in Charcoal Herringbone

Todd Snyder

The king of coats. The be-all and end-all of cold-weather dressing. An ode to outerwear. This luxurious balmacaan is crafted from incredibly soft and plush Italian wool-and-silk blend, woven in a flecked charcoal herringbone. The balmacaan itself is a Scottish style, named for an area near Inverness where it’s thought to have originated in the 19th century. Our take honors the classic fit — long and relaxed, a true topcoat. The utility-inspired detailing includes two patch-and-flap pockets at the hip and a generous ticket pocket. The collar lays flat; button it all the way to the top and pop it for a close, warm fit.
