The Bedale was first released in 1980, and is a short, lightweight jacket originally used for riding. It has a slightly A-line fit and is crafted from peached cotton, which has a soft, peach-skin-like handfeel. It’s also waxed, which makes it water-resistant, and unlined, with grommets at the pockets and under the arms for breathability.
Founded in 1894 — at the mouth of the River Tyne, where durable clothing was relied on — and family-owned, Barbour’s classic jackets are all inspired by heritage sporting styles.
