Based on a classic American military silhouette, this Jeep Coat embodies timeless style. We’ve updated it with a cozy, long-hair shearling collar and a durable ventile fabric. Made from cotton, it has a tough, dry feel — the way it’s woven makes it naturally water-resistant, too. Ventile was originally developed by the military, for English pilots to wear on the off chance they had to jump ship over the Atlantic. Lined in polar fleece on the top and a contrasting orange ventile on the bottom, it will keep you warm and dry in the face of winter’s worst. Additional design details include plenty of pockets, genuine horn buttons and a belt with a leather-covered buckle.
This piece is part of a collaboration between Todd Snyder and Private White V.C., one of England’s most venerable outfitters and beloved by royalty, rock stars, athletes and actors alike. They handcraft every garment in Manchester’s last remaining clothing factory, a red-bricked building on the banks of the River Irwell, where they’ve been based since 1853.

It may just be in. In fact, I hope it is. I am. 46 inch chest. The XL was too small in the chest and shoulders and the XXL was humongous towards to bottom….to the point where I looked like a bell from the side. To make it work i would need a least 6 inches taken in. Great material, weight, and style: Unfortunately, I had to return it.
