Bodega® x Todd Snyder Reversible Down Bomber

Bodega x Todd Snyder

Rated 3.5 out of 5

Size

This bomber does double duty — as in it’s fully reversible, for maximum two-in-one versatility. On one side is an abstract, heathered wool camo; on the other, a quilted olive fabric with contrasting seams. Because it’s constructed from two fabrics, it has the weight to work as a standalone outer layer, without being too heavy or hot. A zipper and silent snaps seal up the front (no matter which way you wear it). Both sides have two hand pockets, and the camo gets a chest pocket — the stitch-through detail shows on the reverse. The silhouette is modern, a little bit boxy, with a U-shaped hem for an easy fit.

This piece is part of a limited-edition collaboration between Todd and Bodega, the Boston-based avatars of street style.

Nice Jacket

Followed the size chart and went with XS even though the recommendation was S.

Sizing chart seems pretty accurate and XS is perfect for me with room for a fitted midlayer thanks to its boxy fit (i.e. light insulated jacket, fleece jacket, heavy sweater, etc)

Weighing around a little over 1 lbs. with a rough fabric all around, it may do well against windy conditions. This jacket is lightly quilted with thicker face fabric, so you will probably need to layer it with something for a northeastern winter. As a standalone jacket, it will do well as a transitioning jacket between fall and winter. The cuff is elastic and my only concern is whether it will starting pilling after a few wears. I found the zippers to be fairly rough and takes more effort to zip/unzip.

Also, for anyone else who's curious, it is made in China.

Overall, I think it's a beautiful jacket. I personally prefer laying pieces rather than wearing a chunky down coat during the winter, so this will be nice addition to my closet.

Great, warm, jacket

Very warm, stylish, jacket. I have been rocking it outside this week in 20-degree weather and loving it. I have not worm it reversed yet, but the green side also looks really great with the beautiful contrasted stitching.

I am rating it 4 stars and not 5, because one small flaw...the sleeves in my M-size jacket are about an inch shorter than what's in the size guide in the website. I am 6'6", 195 lbs, with a 23" chest and 25" arms. I looked up the closest size on the website, and decided to get the M-size jacket. Chest size and length on my jacket are accurate to what's on the website, but the sleeves are actually around 24 3/4" inches long, instead of the 25.5" listed on website. I wish the sleeves were about an inch longer...that would have made this jacket perfect! But, I do realize this is a me-problem with my monkey bar size arms, and will not apply to most people who get that size.

Overall, a great jacket...you will love it.

Hiding my review

I love the look of this jacket, but for nearly $600 it should hold up better than it does. After only owning it for less than one month, the wrists are pilling.

I received an email to leave a review. I left this review last week. It still is not posted.

Nice to look at

I had been eyeing this jacket for months and finally just ordered it before it sold out. I love the look of the jacket but I expected better quality for the price. I have worn it maybe 10 times now. The wool is pilling (a little was expected) that’s pretty normal. What’s not normal is the elastic wrists are pilling already. I don’t know what could be causing that. No Velcro, no major activity done when wearing the coat other than driving to work or walking my dog.

Hi Michael,

We're sorry to hear about the pilling on the elastic wrist part of this jacket as this is something we have not heard of happening with this garment. This can sometimes happen with wrist bands, and be easily combed off.

Best,

The Todd Snyder Team
