Runway Collection:
La Buena Vida | Vintage Style

Todd’s Spring/Summer 26 runway collection balances structured tailoring and soft sensuality, inspired by the faded glamour of Havana in the 50s and the swagger of a guy stepping off a plane in Miami in the 80s.

The sweaters in La Buena Vida are all inspired by mid-century styles, layering in different old-school details: an extra tab closure at the hem, tapered waists, extended collars, vintage-inspired patterns, and more.

    As reviewed

Read/watched reviews before buying and it’s everything admirers said. The lack of a second hand and setting the 24 hour sub dial threw me at first (I mostly wear automatic watches) but I love the clean aesthetic and after a few minutes fiddling had everything set. Nice wrist feel, comfortable for the size of the thing. I’ll be wearing this as a daily watch alternating it with my Nezumi Aviera GMT, another great micro brand for collectors. Eager to see how it garners reactions when I get it out in public!

    "Yes" and "No"

This watch has me giving a mixed review. 40mm is a bit small for me, but that could be because I'm used to the 44-46mm range that I typically wear. I really like the bezel as it's very attractive since the typical timing numbers are gone, however, I don't see the need for a 120 click unidirectional feature except maybe it's there as a stress reducer. I'm very fond of the high contrast dial and the super lum. I don't like though, one of the subdials being a 24hr counter. That's really not useful information for me. Elapsed time on both subdials would be much better. Lastly, I'm not fond of NATO straps, but that's strictly a personal thing and easily remedied. Overall I like the look of this watch despite the issues I've mentioned. I will say however that since the watch has a Seiko movement, I'd like to see the watch actually being a Seiko with a price point at about half of this Italian version.
