The term “pub jacket” was first coined by Murray Pearlstein, founder of iconic menswear store LOUIS Boston, to describe this cardigan-meets-chore-coat. Our Shore Pub Jacket is knit from an Italian cotton-linen yarn that’s a “mouliné,” which is made by twisting two different colors of yarn together before weaving to create a chic, marbled effect. In this case, it adds flecks of white to the charcoal and green; the heathered visual texture is complemented by the slubby texture of the yarn, which is knit in a small seed stitch. With an easy fit, two hand pockets and a clean tubular hem, it’s an endlessly versatile layer that’s easy to dress up or down as the occasion calls for.
