As elegant as casual gets, our Madison Suit Jacket represents the epitome of soft tailoring. Both easy-wearing and sharp, it’s what the Italian courtier, diplomat, and author Baldassare Castiglione must have had in mind when he coined the term sprezzatura to describe effortless nonchalance. The fabric, which comes to us from the renowned Duca Visconti mill, is a soft green cotton corduroy with a touch of stretch for comfort. It has a relaxed fit, with a natural shoulder and a slightly nipped-in waist. Details include a double vent in the back and a lightweight butterfly lining. There’s also a chest pocket known as a barchetta (Italian for “little boat”) because the sleek curvature of the pocket resembles a small skiff. Oh, and did we mention there are matching pants available, too?
Duca Visconti is a famed Italian mill in the foothills of the alps that’s been making corduroy, velvet and other exceptionally well-crafted fabrics for nearly 200 years.

The Italian Corduroy Madison Suit Jacket in Spruce is the perfect color and once I found the correct size, perfectly tailored right out of the box for me! I prefer my suits on the more fitted side, and this jacket and matching pant combo are spot on. This will be my go to fall/winter wedding or dressed up event suit for the foreseeable future!
