Following close behind tweed, cord and flannel in the fall classics lineup: the cable knit wool sweater. The fairly thick stitch, which was introduced in Ireland in the early 20th century, was a favorite of fishermen for the warmth it provided. It soon started popping up in sportswear on cricket, tennis and golf sweaters, before eventually becoming an Ivy League wardrobe staple by the 60s. Here, the classic gets a refresh in rich colors made for the season and a soft lambswool yarn. Get your fave, or get them all and consider your sweater setup sorted.

Great looking sweater. Great fit - ordered a second one in pepper.
At first it’s a little scratchy, but you get used to it pretty quickly and then it’s super comfy and warm. Not to mention stylish
My son loves the way it fits, looks and feels!
