This pique is knit in Portugal from a blend of cotton and organic cotton. Pique is a type of cotton fabric has a subtle waffle texture — the name is from the French “piquer,” and refers to an old English weaving technique inspired by needle-stitched quilts. It’s strong, breathable, and wrinkle-resistant. This particular take has a grid pattern woven directly in (known as a jacquard) that creates a basketweave texture. It clocks in at a midweight 200 grams per square meter.
