Taking as its inspiration a vintage hiking short, The Utility Short is made from a Japanese cotton sateen fabric that has the rugged yet broken-in feel reminiscent of a grail you might discover in an Army surplus store. Authentic design details include a patch and flap on the wearer’s left leg complete with a button closure as well as a tool pocket on the right leg. The short clocks in at 9 inches meaning that on an average guy it should hit at the knee.
These shorts fit perfectly. I was afraid they would be too wide in the leg opening and look like a skirt, but they don’t. The fabric is really nice and I love a Hollywood waist!
