Our company has a longstanding commitment to supporting organizations that in turn support artists. Consistent with this commitment, we are making a $20,000 donation to Visual AIDS, a nonprofit that utilizes art to fight AIDS by provoking dialogue, supporting artists and preserving a legacy, because AIDS is not over.
We’re also making an additional $5,000 contribution to Fire Island Artist Residency (FIAR) which brings lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, non-binary, intersex and queer identifying emerging visual artists to Fire Island to create, commune, rest, reflect and contribute to the location's rich artistic history. The project in particular that we’re supporting is John Dempsey’s upcoming book titled Fire Island Art, which promises to be the first-ever survey of art made on Fire Island, spanning nearly 100 years--from pioneers like Paul Cadmus, Jared French, and Margaret French to icons including Peter Hujar, David Hockney, and Wolfgang Tillmans.
We remain unwavering in our dedication to amplifying LGBTQ+ voices and work. To us, this community is more than a community. It’s our colleagues, family, friends and customers — all of the individual human beings that we care deeply about.
