In the Seventies, Randolph Engineering joined forces with the U.S. military to produce the HGU-4/P Aviator for pilots. Their Aviators weren’t just durable and innovative. They were stylish. Don Draper wore them in Mad Men, Junya Watanabe styled with them in his Spring 2022 show. And now Todd, a longtime fan, has worked with this family-owned business to create four exclusive styles.
Randolph founders, Jan Waszkiewicz and Stanley Zaleski, both immigrated to America from Poland shortly after WWII. After meeting on the job at a machine shop in South Boston, they honed their engineering skills and learned the optical trade. In the Seventies, they started their own company making eyewear located nearby in Randolph, Massachusetts. Soon, they were working closely with the military to create durable and innovative sunglasses for test pilots. Today, the company is still family-owned and operated, and all the glasses are made in the USA. In short, a great American heritage brand that we are proud to partner with.
