The return of the necktie, the importance of looser fits, and Stuart Little as a menswear icon were some of the tidbits we picked up when we asked friends of the brand to share how they're approaching fall dressing and what they're reading. We're always down for a good style tip and a good read, particularly as the days grow shorter and layering comes back into play.

Any fall reading recommendations?
Take Ivy. It’s great for fall, really good inspo, all Ivy League style…it’s very easy to dress this way, the looks are versatile.
Your literary style inspiration?
I get told I look like Harry Potter every time I leave the house with my glasses on…and I kind of dress like him, the collegiate thing, so I guess I’d have to go with the 15-year-old British boy.
Creative Director at No Chaser Magazine and Digital Creator
Ontario wears The Silk-Cashmere Turtleneck Sweater, Italian Cashmere Chore Coat and The Western Jean
What’s a fall dressing moment you’re looking forward to?
I’m leaning more into a tailored, relaxed look. I want to be able to move in my clothing and feel confident. There’s nothing worse than feeling restricted. When clothes drape a certain way, it gives a different level of elegance and elevation to your style.
Your literary style inspiration?
James Baldwin…the simplicity, aesthetic, his mannerisms, the way he articulated things. Those are all components of style, which all resonate with me.

Rose wears The Cropped Cashmere Cardigan, The Japanese Selvedge Oxford Shirt and The Italian Gabardine Wythe Trouser
What’s a fall dressing moment you’re looking forward to?
Peach and chocolate in terms of a color combo. It gives a warm tone but it’s playful.
Your desert island book?
I love Alexander Dumas, so The Count of Monte Cristo. It’s nearly a thousand pages, but I read it during Covid in 3 weeks…and he gets stranded on an island, so it’s quite meta.

Thomas wears The Italian Flannel Suit and Cotton Poplin Button-Down Collar Dress Shirt
What’s a fall dressing moment you’re looking forward to?
Fine tailored suits. Nice wools. Layering of course. I’m a big sucker for three-pieces. And a semi-casual yet sophisticated look.
Your literary style inspiration?
Albert Camus. I love him; great French style, too. His books, The Stranger and The Myth of Sisyphus, were some of the first I read that I really connected to. I also really like Kafka and Dostoevsky…but they’re more of a fall read for me. Camus I can read year-round.

What’s a fall dressing moment you’re looking forward to?
Stacking, over accessorizing, I love a silk scarf…just more. More. More.
Your literary style inspiration?
Stuart Little. Even if he’s running away from a big cat he always looks put together, pressed, tucked, layered, polished.

What’s a fall dressing moment you’re looking forward to?
Tweed. Never goes out of style.
Your literary style inspiration?
Maybe [Hercule] Poirot, [Agatha Christie’s famed detective]. Sharp suit, sharp observations.
Culture and Strategy Consultant
Eslam wears The Italian Nylon Trench Coat, The Relaxed Creased Denim Chino and The Chambray Western Shirt
What’s a fall dressing moment you’re looking forward to?
I’m leaning into a mood, more than a trend. I want to do more color on color, I haven’t in so long but maybe this is the season I’ll do it again.
Your desert island book?
Reverberation: Do Everything Better with Music, edited by Peter Gabriel. He talks about how music can give us different sensations and make us feel better.
Management Consultant and Content Creator
Elliot wears The Italian Suede Dylan Jacket, The Cashmere Crewneck and The Western Jean
What’s a fall dressing moment you’re looking forward to?
I’ll be wearing a lot of ties, that’s a guarantee. More layers. I can wear a scarf, I can wear a sweater, a shirt under a sweater…I hate having only one layer on in the summer.
Any fall reading recommendations?
Pride and Prejudice. Jane Austen killed it. Everyone wants the whole enemies to lovers trope right now, and she nailed it.
