Say hello to your new do-anything, go-anywhere jacket. The cruiser takes its name from the term “timber cruiser,” which referred to the workers who would scout forests ahead of logging crews. It was popular for being lightweight but tough, and waterproof enough to stave off the wet weather of the Pacific Northwest, where most of the timber cruisers worked. Over a century later, we still love this classic style — our take is crafted from soft wool plaid; think sartorial woodsman. It features plenty of pockets (four at the front, two inside, and a “game pocket” at the back) and a twill-lined collar and cuffs. The oversized fit is perfect over a chunky sweater or turtleneck.

The fit is great, warm with lots of pockets both inside and out. The yellow plaid adds to the unique style. I love it!
Great fit with room for layers. The color is a nice dark gold and looks great dressed up or down.
Be aware the color is ochre, not a bright yellow. In indoor light the color is very muted. However, it still looks good. I think the product photos make it look more yellow than it actually is. Also, tag inside says ""70% recycled wool, 25% nylon, %5 other" - not the 80/20 in the product description. Anyways, this thing is great. Generous fit. I'd say if you're between sizes, size down. Great detailing throughout. Very warm. Wool is soft (as far as wool goes...) - it does not itch against my neck. The interior lining/sleeve lining are very nice. The twill lining at the cuffs is a great touch. Sideways pocket and snap pockets at the bottom are a little small (not as big as your typical sideways pocket on a top coat), but I think they're JUST big enough to warm my hands in. the pockets on the back are two separate pockets, not one big one that runs across the back. Garment length is longer than most jackets. There is a smol zip pocket down low inside on the right. This thing has... TEN pockets!
I really like the coat it's great for layering. I tend to size up when purchasing jackets so it's a bit hilky but that's fine. Stay at your regular size if you're if you want to look streamlined.
