Todd has partnered with the arbiter of Ivy League style to create a modern twist on the classics including The Duffel Coat, The Shaggy Dog® Sweater and The Sack Suit. “J. Press has always been a little under the radar, which makes them cool,” says Todd. “So we took some of their iconic pieces and gave them a little attitude.” J. Press has long been famous for a boxy suit that fits like, well, a “sack.” Here, the suit coat gets reworked with a natural shoulder, slightly nipped waist and patch pockets. Todd’s kept the single, center vent on the back called a “hook vent.” The burgundy stripe fabric is a wool-cotton blend that comes to use from England’s noted clothmakers Abraham Moon & Sons. There is a matching trouser that has pintuck pleats and is meant to hit at the ankle.
