To call these chinos is a misnomer. These pants are more like a non-denim jean than anything like a chino. First off, there's none of the nerdy-ness that sometimes comes with a chino look. Secondly, the construction of these pants was clearly cribbed from a standard pair of jeans, down to the riveted pockets and the small change pocket. Even the suede Snyder-branded tag on the belt line above the rear right pocket says "jean." And, like a jean, these pants are comfortable and wearable all day. I bought mine in this pebble grey color as a dressier jean and they don't disappoint. Because of the neutral color, they can be paired with most any color shirt, and because they're more like a jean, they can pair casually but you can still dress them up with a nice button-down.
