The hardworking and humble shirt jacket gets a luxe upgrade in this soft, lustrous boucle wool. (“Boucle” is French for curled and the handfeel is not that different than a teddy bear’s fur. ) Design details include two oversized chest pockets with flaps, button cuffs and genuine horn buttons. Toss it over a tee in early fall and then wear it over a sweater as we get deeper into cold weather. The color is an easy way to add some graphic interest to your top half on days when you’re wearing denim or chinos. In short, this is a MVLP (Most Valuable Layering Piece).

I bought the same shirt last year in green, tried to get the navy one shortly after but my size was sold out. I layer it, sometimes over a dark brown turtleneck and it looks great. Thick, warm, and sized perfectly.
