Sherpa fleece was first developed in Massachusetts in 1979 as a synthetic alternative to shearling that’s lighter, stronger and quicker to dry than the original. We searched the world over for the best fleece we could find, and found it at an Italian mill. As wonderfully warm as it is handsome, it’s the foundation for a piece that should be a core style in anyone’s wardrobe. The design details — a spade chest pocket, 2-way zipper and binding to cinch in the hem and cuffs — offer a modern spin on vintage mountaineering gear. With a generous fit made for easy layering and a custom outdoor scene illustrated by Rob Wilson, it’s bound to become your new winter staple.

I love love loved this online. It was very ill fitting. Large, long, no shape. The image not crisp when worn. I was very disappointed.

Great jacket! I get many compliments each time I wear it. Perfect to leave at my home in WV when i leave for winter in Florida.
I saw someone pass by wearing this jacket on 9th avenue in NYC and loved it right away. I actually tracked it down through google and purchased it. It is quite a bit roomier than most Todd Snyder or a more modern silo would suggest, but it is a jacket not a shirt. The colors are vivid and it has a very soft feel. It's cozy, but very breathable because it is unlined, which means it allows wind to pass through. It's not suitable for very cold or windy days, but fills a nice place in the wardrobe when an extra layer is needed outdoors or in. The double zipper is really useful when wearing it inside and lounging, because unzipping part way from the bottom helps it to lay flat and more comfortably on the body.
I’m enjoying the jacket, and it’s already received a lot of compliments. It runs larger for sure, so if you only plan to wear one basic layer or shirt underneath, I would go one size down from what you usually wear.
