Too sheer for me
I love the merino waffle crewneck sweaters by TS and have them in several colors already. This sweater is the perfect weight for SoCal winters - not too heavy, but great for layering when I need to travel to colder parts of the country during winter months. The sweater also solves a problem I run into during winter in many parts of the country - one needs a sweater to stay warm, but some of the heavier ones end up being too much when coming in from the outside to an overheated indoor space.
The antique white version of the merino waffle crewneck sweater was something I was excited about. A sweater that fills a void in the color spectrum for me, and is a weight and weave to make it versatile enough to wear from Fall to Spring in much of the country, and able to be dressed down with jeans or made more dressy when worn under a blazer. The disappointment for me was the sheerness of the sweater - I tried it on with multiple shirts underneath (solid, light pattern, and bold colors) and the only thing it seemed to work well with was any shirt that is all white / cream in color, or a little less well with extremely light grey. Anything else and I could easily see the color through the sweater - just not a look that I am a fan of. As a result I returned the sweater.
One side point I feel the need to comment on: I love TS and have been a fan since the early days. A LOT of my wardrobe (suits, blazers, shoes, socks, jeans, shorts, shirts, sweaters, etc.) are from TS. In the…
