As a longtime aficionado of vintage Champion, Mark McNairy seemed the perfect guest designer for Todd’s latest Champion capsule. “In the Nineties, I was traveling to Japan a lot, and my first stop was always this Champion store in Tokyo,” remembers McNairy. “They sold vintage styles that would make me lose my mind, and I started collecting them.”
The printed mesh fabric comes from Yarrington Mills, the same Pennsylvania-based company that makes classic football jerseys and uniforms. The silhouette of the shirt is reminiscent of a coach’s shirt with snaps up the front. The background is a custom camo pattern with bursts of daisies throughout.
